Before the Symposium

Who can participate?
Our symposium invites participants from all over the world. We would like to especially encourage the registration of master's and PhD students, but undergraduate students and postdocs are also welcome to attend.

How do I register?
Fill out the online registration form.

I need to provide a letter confirming my registration to my university. When will I get one?
Please contact us to request an invitation letter after completing your registration. Please note that issuing the letter can take up to a week, so plan accordingly.

What is an awarded student talk? How can I apply?
Every year, graduate students who submitted the best abstracts on time, are selected to present their research in the form of a 15-20 minutes oral presentation along with invited speakers of the symposium. For more information, see here.

How do I submit my poster abstract?
After completing your registration for the conference, you will receive an email with a link to the abstract submission form. Here, you can submit your abstract until the deadline.


During the symposium

How can I attend a talk?
All talks are going to be at the Max Planck Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences, Am Faßberg 11, 37077 Göttingen. Attending a scientific talk is free of charge.

Do I have to register for the Horizons in Molecular Biology Symposium to take part in the Career Fair?
Yes, registration for the whole symposium is required if you want to take part in the Career Fair.


After the symposium

I need to provide a confirmation of attendance to my university. When will I get one?
Within up to one month after the symposium, every participant will recieve a confirmation letter sent to the email adress provided during registration. If you have not recieved this letter in time, please contact us shortly after, as we'll delete the participants' personal data shortly after issuing the certificates. Please note that you need to have attended at least parts of the conference to be eligible.
